🧭 Beginner-Foundation Pathway 3-5km

A steady and supportive introduction to navigation. You'll learn how to:

*Using your compass and take simple bearings

* Understand map symbols, ground features 

*Practice handrails and linear features, aiming off

*Orientate your map confidently

*Understand the concept of contours on a map

*Build confidence on established routes

Ideal for complete beginners or those returning after time away.



🧭Progressive  – Across the Moor 8-10km

Refine navigation skills in more open and complex terrain.
Develop:*

*Micro-navigation techniques

*Advanced contour reading

*Strategic route planning

*Low visibility strategies

*Transits 

Designed for those ready to trust their skills, confidently across the moor.

sessions are hands-on, supportive and designed for steady progression
