Get hands-on with all the essential skills for safe and enjoyable wild camping in this one day indoor workshop. Perfect for beginners, this session covers everything you need to know before heading out onto Dartmoor or any expedition in the UK

During the day you'll learn:

• Tent types, pitching, and packing.

• Sleeping bag and sleeping pad choice for warmth and comfort

• Leave No Trace principles and environmental awareness

• Dartmoor camping regulations and permitted camping 

• UK rights of way and Scotland, Ireland. 

• Basic overnight planning and kit organisation

• Cooking pots, food, fuel types

Hands-on practice:
Participants will pitch a tent outdoors to gain practical experience in a supportive setting.

This workshop is designed to build confidence, answer your questions, and give you a solid foundation for future wild camping experiences.

Bring:
Just yourself and a notepad – all kit will be demonstrated, and some items may be available to try on the day.
